Secure a Place for Your Students to Stroll Thru Texas History

photo-2-1March 2 & 3, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 pm  – Stroll Thru Texas History” begins at Acton Baptist Church at 3500 Fall Creek Hwy in Acton, Texas. Children can meet Texas Heroes, portrayed by the THF Team, partake in Elizabeth Crockett Memorial Ceremony, make period crafts, see black powder demonstrations, enjoy period music & performing art winners, view the Student History Fair, vote on People’s Choice Award, enter the Selfie Contest and more. All classes and large groups need to sign up in advance. Call 214-675-5752.

    Texas Heroes Foundation Student History Fair Award Presented by Lake Granbury Living Magazine Award Goes to… Keri Kittleson Keri won first place in the exhibits category with an in-depth research of the Derring homeplace on Peak Road.  Her excavation for artifacts and genealogy research combined with her poem drew the judges praise.
