There is no truer hero of the Alamo era than David Crockett. David Crockett was a, farmer, hunter, marksman, frontiersman, author, and representative to the United States Congress. Born in Greene County, Tennessee on August 17, 1786, Crockett left his mark wherever he traveled. He married Elizabeth Patton in 1815, and forged his way to the point of no return….the Alamo on February 8, 1836. Eye witness accounts place his death inside the Alamo on March 6, 1836. Texas will forever be in debt to the family of David Crockett for his meritorius service on behalf of our state. Help us honor him the week-end of March 2nd and 3rd in Granbury, TX. A special memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3rd at the gravesite of Mrs. Elizabeth Crockett in ACTON. That service will begin at 1:00 PM.574578_159968320823103_36908177_n
