April 21 Texas Heroes Flag Display – Celebrating Texas Heroes and San Jacinto Day

Stroll through the Texas Heroes Flag Display and read the tags honoring Texas Heroes who fought for Texas Independence from Mexico and freedom from tyranny the last of April and the first three weeks in May.

May 16, 2020 Stroll Thru Texas History – Celebrating Texas Independence and the establishment of the Republic of Texas as a free and independent nation in 1836.

 Meet Texas Heroes: Presentations as William Travis, David Crockett, Sam Houston & more. Enjoy 1800s Black Powder Cannon Demonstrations, Native American, Texas Navy, Historical Artifacts and Period Music as we celebrate the Treaties of Velasco.  The Treaties of Velasco were two documents signed at Velasco, Texas on May 14, 1836between Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna of Mexico and the Republic of Texas, in the aftermath of the Battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836.
